Dr. Mera is a cherished person for our family, because, beyond being an eminence as a doctor, his category as a person is even greater, due to his humanity and closeness to the patient.

I still remember how just the "simple" act of approaching my mother during the 7 years of her illness, and holding her hand, changed her expression and made her feel better. It's incredible how such a small gesture meant so much to her.

Dr. Santiago Mera performed surgery on our father in May 2019 for an intestinal obstruction, resulting from a complication of the disease he was suffering from. Probably another professional would not have dared, but he did not hesitate, and despite the complexity, age, and health condition of our father, he managed to pull through and recover.

I will never know how to thank Dr. Mera for the effort he put in and the affection with which he treated us at all times. For us, it meant extra time with our father, which taught us important life lessons.

Always grateful to Dr. Santiago Mera for the colon surgery performed on my father. He is an excellent professional who instills complete confidence and provides humane treatment. I would recommend him without a doubt.

I recognize that I am a difficult case, but he showed interest in my situation from the beginning. In this past year, as my condition worsened, and with it, my health, he empathized greatly with me, to the point where he dared to operate on me to try to provide me with a better quality of life.
